The symbol of Swastika is quite old and is associated with Hinduism and later with Buddhism.

Swasthi is Sanskrit means well being.
The symbol is used during poojas even to day and one can find this symbol in many a temple.

The Swastika symbol is mystical in nature and is also associated with Tantric practices as a Tantic symbol and in some cases as a Yantra, a mode of worship through geometical patterns.
Swastika is used for auspiciousness and is used for such occasions.
Never is it used for inauspicious occasions.
Rig Veda has designs made after the Swastika.

So it is evident that the Swastika was in vogue during Sanatana Dharma period in India.
Vedas are now dated 5000 years ago.
But the presence of Swastika around the world during Copper Age .
That is around 7000 years ago is confirmed by the archelogical find in Bulgaria. The Swastika was used by the Greeks, Nirdic Tribes and pre Christian Tectonic tribes as well.
This reinforces my theory and assertion that Sanatana Dharma was in Europe before the advent of the present Religions there.

‘The word ‘swastika’ is a Sanskrit word (‘svasktika’) meaning ‘It is’, ‘Well Being’, ‘Good Existence, and ‘Good Luck’ […] In Buddhism, the swastika is a symbol of good fortune, prosperity, abundance and eternity. It is directly related to Buddha and can be found carved on statues on the soles of his feet and on his heart. It is said that it contains Buddha’s mind.”

In his words, 7,000 years ago, prehistoric ceramic vessels with written signs on them were used for religious rites and rituals. However, the decoding of the actual meaning of the writing is, of course, very difficult.
“These pictographs are codified information that was either transmitted among the people, or it was an attempt to transmit information from the [human] societies to the gods,” thearchaeologist has told the Bulgarian National Television.
“The settlement in question dates back to 5,000 BC, and goes back to a period of the Copper-Stone Age which was very long. TheCopper-Stone Age in the Balkans gave rise to a global civilizationwhich laid the foundations of everything that we can witness today,” he has added.
